GRAHAMSVILLE – The Tri-Valley Central School District Board of Education has appointed Joseph Lloyd, Ph.D., as the District’s next Superintendent of Schools, effective August 24.
Lloyd brings more than 24 years of experience in public education and a proven record of instructional leadership, organizational management, and student advocacy. He joins Tri-Valley from the South Orangetown Central School District, where he served as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. Throughout his career, he has also served as an elementary principal, assistant principal, acting principal, and classroom teacher.
Known for fostering positive school cultures and collaborative partnerships, Lloyd has focused on supporting high-quality staff, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and advancing student achievement. His leadership philosophy emphasizes strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the broader community while ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
The Board of Education believes Lloyd’s experience, vision, and commitment to educational excellence align with Tri-Valley’s mission of developing curious, resilient, and confident learners.
