Jenna Carmody
GRAHAMSVILLE – “Jenna Carmody has helped reestablish a standard for Tri-Valley basketball over the last 4 years. Jenna averaged a double-double with 17 points, 10 ½ rebounds, 6 steals and 3 assists per game this season. This has been her stat line for the better part of the last three seasons. She played pretty much every minute of every game. At the end of this season, she was chasing 1000 points, but you couldn’t tell by her play. She is an unselfish player that we have always had to keep telling to shoot the ball. She ended up with 1015 points for a career high at Tri-Valley. The best things about Jenna are not even stat related. She was our captain, a steady leader for our team and a terrific role model for our younger players.” Carmody’s coach, Jason Closs shared these thoughts with the Democrat about her accomplishments. Jenna was one of only two female players selected to the twelfth team by the New York State Sports Writer’s Association (NYSSWA)from Sullivan County. Carmody helped her team win the Class B basketball title this season after moving up from Class C. This is a well-deserved honor for any player at this level. Carmody will attend SUNY New Paltz next fall to study finance.
