Healthiest Fire Department Challenge
The Sullivan 180 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge is turning wellness into a team effort. In the lead is Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Department with 176 points; Kauneonga Lake took back second place this week, with Jeffersonville close behind.
This week, departments took walks and hikes in their communities and had healthy family barbecues. The National Walking Month Challenge ended with departments walking over 23 miles this month!
Narrowsburg/Lava Fire Department (featured) invited Sullivan 180 to their firehouse to learn more about Point Stacking, a daily wellness routine that encourages small, consistent actions toward physical, nutritional, and mental well-being. The group did a memory exercise game, had a healthy snack, and did a mental health activity.
Keep following along to see who will be the winners of the 2026 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge!
