September 16 – Congratulations to our Jeffersonville Fire Department for bringing home Second Place for the Best Appearing Large Company and Third Place for Best Appearing Pumper at the SCVFA parade in Grahamsville last Saturday! Great job! Come out and show your support for our volunteers at their delicious Annual Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday, October 17 from 4 – 7 p.m. – Takeouts only for $20.

Thank you to Rich Rogers from Rich Rogers Construction for refurbishing our Veterans Community Bulletin Board on Main Street! Also, a Thank You to the Town of Callicoon for helping with the cost of the project. Years ago, Frank Haskell (and his wife Fran) donated the beautiful Memorial Garden Town Clock next to the firehouse and the Veteran’s Community Bulletin Board down across from the Jeff Pharmacy.

The JEMS beautification group spearheaded both projects and for this project was fortunate to have help from both Rich and the Town of Callicoon. The bulletin board is for Non-Profit Groups and Public Service Announcements only. Please leave your flyers at the Village Office located next to the Western Sullivan Public Library. If the Office is closed, you may use the drop box by the right side of the door. I am sure Frank and Fran are smiling.

The Western Sullivan Public Library (WSPL) invites you to “Cooking for Four” with Chef Dale Buchheister at their Jeffersonville Branch on Wednesday, September 30 at 5:30 p.m. Join local Chef Dale Buchheister for a demo workshop where you will learn to use pantry staples to assemble an easy and yummy meal. He will explain the benefits of using stock, sofrito’s, and other pantry staples to make an easy pasta meal that incorporates veggies and protein. Tomorrow is a ton of fun with the Annual Jeff Jamboree on Main Street in Jeffersonville with live music by the Little Sparrow group, a Tractor Parade at Noon down Main Street and Duck Race at 3 p.m. Lots of fun all day with lots of vendors and free horse drawn wagon rides too! A delicious Pancake Breakfast at the 1st Presbyterian Church starts the day off in style! Bring your friends and family out to this amazing event!
