HONESDALE, PA — Tousant Ennis is WMH’s Employee of the Year for 2023! Tousant is a phlebotomist on second shift at the hospital lab and has been with Wayne Memorial for over five years. He was the Employee of the Month in May, recognition awarded based on nominations from other WMH staff members. Tousant was nominated by not one, not two, but three coworkers who all speak very highly of him. All three agree, “WMH needs more people like Tousant.” Lab Manager John Romano concurs wholeheartedly, “Tousant’s work performance is exemplary. He has become a model for others in his profession.” CEO Jim Pettinato, BSN, MHSA, CCRN-K, presented Tousant with a plaque and a monetary gift and thanked him for his exceptional work ethic. Coworkers, medical staff, and administrators joined in with expressions of appreciation. The presentation, to which all WMH’s ‘23 Employees of the Month are invited to attend, included cookies and non-alcoholic bubbly. The Employee of the Year is chosen by the Employees of the Month from the previous year. Tousant also receives a permanent position on the hospital’s EOY Wall of Honor near the cafeteria.
