Woodridge talks trash; discusses culvert

Posted

WOODRIDGE — The Woodridge Village Board held its monthly meeting on January 17, and one of the major points of discussion was about the high levels of garbage that lies on the street and sidewalk.

There have been multiple cases of trash that hasn’t been cleaned up and is affecting the local residents. This has become a voice of concern for trustees because there are multiple areas that are having this issue. The village of Woodridge prefers to keep a clean environment for their residents, the trustees said.

The Board also discussed repairs of the Culvert 39 bridge in Greenville. Mayor Joan Collins briefly mentioned that they plan to hire engineers to begin fixing the bridge in the upcoming months. Once they hire the engineers the Board will continue working until the bridge is fully repaired.
