WOODRIDGE — The Village of Woodridge Board unanimously voted to not sell 17 acres of Village land on Glen Wild Road during last week’s meeting.

Attorney Steve Vegliante recently approached the Village on behalf of his client about the aforementioned acreage.

Mayor Joan Collins explained to the Board of Trustees that she was afraid of what would happen to the land if the Board sold it to Mr. Vegliante’s client, who had previously annexed property out of the Village.

“Do we want to give up a lot of acreage from the Village because the next thing they’re going to do after he takes it or after we sell it to him will be to annex it out of the Village as he has done before, and I don’t know if we want to do that,” Mayor Collins said.

The Board of Trustees ultimately agreed with Collins and denied the sale.
