SULLIVAN COUNTY — What better way to spend Spring Break than with activity backpacks from the library? This year, we’ve designed Take-Home Kits for children under 5, ages 6-10 and 11+. Stop into any WSPL Branch April 1st - 6th and grab your packet at the front desk. They are waiting for your children to take them on an exploration. Each kit will have different activities based on the age group, so please take the one that matches your child’s interests and skill-set. There is no registration for this event, kits are first come first served while supplies last - feel free to call ahead.

We’re excited to revive our Seed Starting Class. In this interactive sprouting session, students will learn all about different kinds of seeds and how they germinate. They’ll learn different ways to grow plants, how plants develop and most importantly how to get our garden started! Then we will plant some seeds for each child to bring home and grow. Beginners and more experienced junior gardeners are welcome. Space is limited so don’t forget to register your child (ages 8+) today!

Join us during Spring Break on Tuesday, April 2nd from 5-6 PM at our Delaware Free Branch OR later on in the month on Tuesday, April 23rd from 5-6 PM at our Jeffersonville Branch.

And of course, we’ve got our ongoing pre-school programs. Let’s Play! will meet from 10:00 - 11:30am on Tuesday, April 9th at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch & on Tuesday, April 16th at the Jeffersonville Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library. Children ages 3 & under are welcome to come enjoy this interactive playgroup. 

Then our traditional storytime for children ages 3-5 from 10:15- 11:00 am on Thursday, April 25th at the Delaware Free Branch.
