SULLIVAN COUNTY — The Sullivan County Long Beards (SCLB) chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is hosting their annual Youth Turkey Hunt Contest this weekend, April 20 and 21.

The winner gets a choice of a full mount provided by Shewolf Taxidermy or a Savage 42 22/410 available at Fur Fin & Feather.

The contest will be held during the Youth Turkey Hunt weekend for eligible 12-15 year old hunters. They must be accompanied by an experienced licensed hunter.

The winners will be determined by the NWTF official scoring system which is the weight plus the length of beards and spurs.

Entrants can weigh their turkey at the Fur Fin & Feather Sports Shop in Livingston Manor or at the Sportsmen’s Den in Callicoon.
