Renaissance workers help Callicoon

Workers from Sullivan Renaissance made a visit to Callicoon last week to fix up the flower bed on Lower Main St., across from the Sullivan County Democrat office. The three-person horticulture crew, working alongside community volunteer Janine Kroner, worked on the bed and also dug up and moved hundreds of day lilies to a new home at Callicoon Creek Park on Audley Dorrer Drive. Helping in the all-day work session were, top photo, Leizel Schlott, left, and Samantha Dorn. In photo at left are Janine Kroner and Andrew ‘AJ' Lumalcuri. Also helping in the effort was John Erik Karkula, Callicoon's ‘Renaissance man,' and Mark McLaren of Hortonville, who helped find the day lilies their new home.
