LAKE HUNTINGTON – The glowing and affirming words of football coaches Justin Diehl and Ron Bauer attested to the illustrious career of senior quarterback Jaymes Buddenhagen that saw him guide the Bulldogs to their second consecutive Division championship. Buddenhagen was the recipient of many honors and all-star designations.

With his parents Kurt and Ashlea by his side, he signed a letter of intent to attend Alfred University in the fall, where he has been recruited to play football for the Saxons. Alfred is a Division III school under the larger umbrella of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association.

It belongs to the Empire 8 league. Last season Alfred played the following opponents on the gridiron: Hobart, Ithaca, Kalamazoon College, Morrisville State College Hartwick, St. John Fisher University, SUNY Cortland, Utica and SUNY Brockport.

Buddenhagen posed for pictures with his teammates, coaches and friends. He is looking forward to playing baseball for the Bulldogs in his final season in high school. Currently, he is finishing out his basketball season.

Jaymes Buddenhagen has had an admirable career as a three-sport athlete at Sullivan West. His character, perseverance and dedication have contributed to his teams’ success. Moreover, he has been a great role model especially to his younger teammates. No doubt the Saxons will benefit from his athleticism, leadership and poise.
