To the editor:

The town recently announced that they had made arrangements with an architect to advise the town on renovations to the existing Town Hall building on Bridge Street.

The goal is to make the most efficient use of the building’s space for the present and the future.

There have been countless discussions and comments from the public for over a year at Town Board meetings about providing municipal restrooms for the public who come to visit our town to shop, dine and engage in cultural and recreational activities.

We suggest to you that it would make sense for the architect to create a design that would incorporate the existing ADA restrooms, located at the Tusten Community Hall, so that they would be accessible to the public.

This plan would not be too difficult to implement since the existing bathrooms are already located in the back corner of the Town Hall and it would only require creating an alternative entrance from the outside of the building.
