As a member of the town of Callicoon government for many years, I’ve been supported by Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, and Independents. When I heard Matt McPhillips was running for legislator in District 1, although I can’t vote for him as I am just outside of the district lines, I felt compelled to come forward to let the people of Sullivan County, and the town of Callicoon know how I feel about this young man. He is bipartisan, he will give you his time and listen to your concerns, he is well educated, and cares about this community. In my experience, people often vote for someone because they don’t want to vote for someone else. Well in this case, this is the first time I can say that I’m excited for people to vote for a candidate I know will make a positive difference for our County. Matt is the exact type of candidate we need to lead our county forward, and will do a wonderful job of ensuring that all voices are heard.
