LIVINGSTON MANOR -- The Sullivan West Bulldogs and Livingston Manor Wildcats met up at LMCS on Friday night for a non-league matchup between two Sullivan County schools. The two teams were resilient in the game, fighting hard until the end.

By halftime, the two teams were tied at 19, but a strong third quarter by the Bulldogs gave the visiting a team that they would hold until the final buzzer. Sullivan West outscored Livingston Manor 15-5 in the third quarter and 16-10 in the fourth, sending them home with a 50-34 victory.

Cody Powell was instrumental in the Sullivan West victory, scoring 13 of his game-high 20 points in the first half. Livingston Manor's Patrick DiBartolo led his team with 10 points, and Powell and DiBartolo were the only two in the game to reach double digits for points.

“It was a long time coming,” Sullivan West Coach John Meyer said after the game. “We played a better third quarter than usual and we have some big games coming up so we need to keep working.”

“We can't turn the ball over as much as we did and expect to win,” Livingston Manor Coach Adam Larson said. “We're better than we showed tonight.”
