LOCH SHELDRAKE – The SUNY Sullivan Generals are back in action tonight following a win over Dutchess Community College on Tuesday to bring their season record to 13-5. The No. 13 team in the country is set to tip off at 7 p.m. tonight against CCBC-Dundalk, and tomorrow they play the Community College of Morris.
After their undefeated start to the season, as well as their first time as the No. 1 ranked NJCAA team, the Generals have hit a bit of a rough patch. A few losses in between their wins have dropped them out of the top ten in the rankings, but they still sit at 13-5 and hope to get back to their winning ways tonight and tomorrow.
The Generals are hosting the Darius Lee Memorial Classic, in honor of a former player who tragically lost his life in June.
Lee, who had continued playing basketball at Houston Baptist after his time at SUNY Sullivan, was killed this summer after a shooting in his hometown of Harlem, NY.
This weekend’s games will honor the former All-American and the contributions he made to the SUNY Sullivan team and community.
