Frank Anthony Ariosta was born July 7, 1938 to Lea (Mestichelli) and Anthony Ariosta of Dongan Hills. His heart found home in both Staten Island and Roscoe, NY.

Frank graduated from Delbarton H.S. ’56. He received his B.S. degree from Wagner College ’62, his M.D. from NY Medical College ’67. He served in the US Navy Reserve from ‘66 – ‘71.

Dr. Ariosta was employed by Staten Island Hospital in ‘68 and in ‘89, he was appointed Orthopedic Chief at SIUH and led the Center for Joint Reconstruction until retirement.

In ‘62, he married his college sweetheart, Ann Costantino. They have two daughters Leanne and Cynthia and grandsons Gregory and Alex.

In 2001, Frank married his best friend Peggy Thony. Frank raised Peggy’s children Sarah and Andy as his own. They have one grandson, Henry.

Frank enjoyed working on their farm, hunting, boating, wildlife, raising orchids, great wine and travel.

He is survived by wife Peggy, daughters Leanne Lucarelli, Cynthia Ariosta (Bill) and Sarah Fox (David), and Andy Thony, grandsons Gregory and Alex Lucarelli, Henry Fox, first wife Ann, sister-in-law Bernadette Puleo (Eugene), niece Larissa Carroll (Tim), and nephews Thomas (Denise) and Vincent Costantino (Genine).
