LOCH SHELDRAKE -- The Generals hosted Essex Community College at SUNY Sullivan's Tip-Off Classic this weekend, and their offense looked to be in midseason form. Sullivan took off from the opening minutes, starting the game on an 11-0 run. By the five-minute mark, Sullivan was up 22-8, while Essex got themselves into early foul trouble. Essex accrued 9 fouls in less than 9 minutes, sending Sullivan to the line throughout the night. The Generals were able to beat the buzzer at the end of the first half to take a 56-28 lead at the break.
Darius Lee led the scoring for the Generals with 29 points and a 12-14 shooting performance. Kendall Robinson added 23 points, and Josh Galloway netted 11. The team shot 54.1 percent from the field, and 35.7 percent from beyond the arc in the 107-61 victory.
On Sunday, Sullivan improved to 2-0 with a 96-76 win against Raritan Valley Community College. The Generals' game is Saturday, November 9 against Mohawk Valley Community College in Rochester.
