LOCH SHELDRAKE — The SUNY Sullivan Generals improved to 13-10 after a 94-55 win over the SUNY Ulster Senators following the Women’s game.
Tajuan Thomas had a huge impact on both sides of the ball, leading the Generals with 26 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three assists. Many of his points came from vicious fastbreak dunks to fire up the crowd.
“This season has been a roller coaster,” said first year Head Coach Simon Clement. “When the guys show up and want to work hard like they did tonight we can beat any team in the country. We’re really good defensively, but then when the guys want to play a little more one-on-one, a little more of a traditional pick-up JUCO game, it ends up being a track meet and we don’t thrive in that. It has resulted in a bunch of losses. We have a lot of freshmen and we’re learning every day, trying to get better and I think we’re on the right track at the right time.”
