HONESDALE, PA — They did it! Thanks to the Honesdale Rotary and more than 150 other donors, individuals and organizations, the Wayne County Arts Alliance (WCAA) met its goal of raising $75,000 in matching funds to buy a building on Main Street in Honesdale. With its $5,000 donation, Honesdale Rotary was one of the groups that helped the WCAA over the top. WCAA administrators and members agreed to look into helping Honesdale Rotary with some future projects, such as the club’s first-ever Beer & Wine Festival at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on September 23, 2023. Honesdale Rotary is part of Rotary International, a service club of more than one million members worldwide.  Other projects include fundraisers for Ukrainian refugees, painting the Fred Miller Pavilion on Honesdale’s Main Street, funding new shelves for the Wayne County Food Pantry, hosting an international exchange student (this year from Japan) and raising monies for Rotary International’s Polio Eradication Program.
