The Hortonville Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their Pancake & French Toast Breakfast on Sunday, November 12th 7 a.m. to noon. Buttermilk pancakes, French toast, sausage patties, eggs, orange juice, tea, coffee, and real maple syrup from the Diehl Homestead Farm. Adults $12, Veterans, and children $6 and under 3 are free! Bring your friends and family out for a delicious breakfast while supporting your volunteer fire fighters!

The Sullivan West School is holding a holiday toy drive for children in the Sullivan West school district. The toy drive provides gifts for children in families that need help during the holiday season. If you would like to donate gifts, please bring them to the donation box located in the Elementary School lobby, or to the SW High School by or before December 11th. A “Timmy Mills Family Benefit” is being held at the Rockland House in Roscoe on Sunday, December 10th at 1p.m. A night of dancing and music to celebrate the birthday of a wonderful man while raising money for his family. Cash admission of $30 includes light food and entertainment, featuring “Far Beyond Grace” and ending the night with BJ Hendrickson. Basket raffles, gun raffle, 50/50, and many great prizes to be won. 

Barbara from “Barbara’s Bunch” has her American Pride trip coming April 20-25, 2024. Travel 6 days all on a motorcoach (no flying). Sullivan County Youth between the ages of 5 and 18 interested in dogs! Learn tips and tricks to set your dog up for success! All Sullivan County youth are invited to the Extension Education Center to experience dog training in a hands-on setting! Taught by an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator through eight sessions, taking place Monday evenings from November 6th to January 8th, this workshop will allow you to join in the learning with your dog! The cost for this 8-session course is $150, with scholarship funds available to youth. Paid pre-registration is required with a preference to youth, but also open to adults. The Western Sullivan Public Library Book Club (Jeffersonville Branch) is holding an In-Person meeting Friday, November 10th at 4 p.m. They will be discussing Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson.

No Registration Required. Also, the dates are set for the Holiday Book Sale at the Jeffersonville Branch at the Western Sullivan Public Library. The sale will start on Saturday, December 2nd and run through Saturday, December 9th, during library hours.
