Lady Wildcats defeat Chapel Field to stay undefeated in 'D'

LIVINGSTON MANOR — The Lady Wildcats put together their most complete game of the season on Monday afternoon aftrer recognizing their six seniors as they played home to the Chapel Field Lions. This, the first of two matchups for these teams this week, was a dominant effort by Livingston Manor/Roscoe as they cruised to a 9-0 victory.

Chapel Field has struggled this year, starting off 0-3 in the league and an overall record of 0-9-0. The young squad struggled against the Lady Wildcats, who after going winless last year are currently 8-7 (3-0).

Alexandra Potosek opened the scoring for Livingston Manor under two minutes into the game. After the first goal, the Lady Wildcats went on a tear, netting four additional goals to take a 5-0 lead by halftime. Four second half goals increased the score to nine before the final whistle.

Rebecca Gashinsky scored four goals, Leah Ladenhauf scored two, Jewel Wright scored two and Alexandra Potosek scored one in the win.

The Lady Wildcats followed up their win over Chapel Field with another against Ellenville, 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Wildcats were scheduled to play Chapel Field last night, but results weren’t available by press time.
