Welcome Fall! We are in the full swing of back to school and activities already. Time flies when you are having fun! I love that our community and neighboring areas offer so much to do during the Fall. There is nothing better than leaf peeping in our area!

The Cochecton Preservation Society is hosting their 17th annual “Coffee- Tea-& History” presentation on Sept. 24th, starting at 1:00 P.M. at the Station, 8537 Rt 97, Cochecton, NY - and it is FREE with refreshments. Guest Speakers: Brothers, Jim and George Anderson portrayed by Civil War reenactors James Richardson and Dennis Bernitt. “The brothers arrive at the Depot returning home at the end of the Civil War. Stop by the Jeff Jamboree on September 16th ! An all-day event on Main Street in Jeffersonville, NY. Start your day with a pancake breakfast at the First Presbyterian Church 7:30-11:30 am, a Tractor Parade starting at Noon, and a Duck Race at 3:00 pm. Enjoy local shops and restaurants as well as free horse drawn carriage rides.

The Small Town Country 4-H Club invites the public to its fourth annual Live, Love, Serve: 4-H 5K Race on Sunday, October 15. This unique 4-H club fundraiser will begin at 9:00 am on a USA Track & Field (USATF) certified course* on Main Street in Hortonville. Day-of registration and race packet pick-up will begin at 7:00 am. Participants can walk or run. *USATF NY 1808oJG. Youth must be at least 8 years old to participate. Youth under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants can register as individuals or as a team, and do not have to be previously enrolled in 4-H to enter. The first 100 registrants will receive a race shirt! Cost is $25 for adults and $15 for 4-H youth members. Registration can be completed by visiting https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Hortonville/LiveLoveServe4H5K or contacting the 4-H club at smalltowncountry4h@gmail.com. Payment can be made with credit in advance online or with cash and checks at registration time day-of. Visit the 2nd Annual Diehl Homestead Farm Fall Festival on Sunday, October 8th from 1PM -5 PM, located on Diehl Road in Callicoon. Beautiful fall views, delicious BBQ and family fun. Hayrides, bouncy house, kiddie hay maze, face painting, maple cotton candy, fresh apple cider donuts and more.

There will be Craft and food vendors as well as our maple, honey, pumpkins, apples, cider, garlic and more.

Vendors wanted for the Annual Delaware Youth Center Holiday Craft Fair on November 24, 2023. Rental for each 2-1/2’ x 8’ table is $30, with set up starting at 8:30 AM and the sale from 10 AM - 4 PM.  To reserve your table, fill out the form on their website and pay your $30 vendor fee by October 14.
