And we are officially starting the first week of November. Please remember to turn your clocks back one hour on Sunday, November 5th. This will give us a much-needed extra hour of daylight for these long winter months that are coming.

I am starting to plan our Thanksgiving dinner this week, and I am so excited to host another year of fabulous food and drinks for our family. There is nothing better than the Thanksgiving Day parade on the television in the morning while you are preparing all the delicious treats.

There are numerous events happening in and around town, mark your calendars for the following events.

“SEA WALL & THE CATASTROPHIST” presented by River Rep Theater opens on November 3rd.

River Rep presents an evening of acclaimed one-act plays about love and loss, family and fatherhood, memory and mortality. The River Rep Theatre will present an evening of acclaimed monologues, including Simon Stephens’ “exquisite” one-act SEA WALL – a powerful story about fatherhood and family, and about “the hole that grief can blast through a person’s center.” (New York Times), and THE CATASTROPHIST - “a riveting meditation about life and death and the nature of viruses” (WTTW Chicago) – by Lauren Gunderson, “the most produced playwright in America.” (American Theater Magazine).  Performances will be on the following days as well: November 3, 4, 10 & 11 at 7pm and November 5 & 12 at 2pm. All performances at Delaware Valley Opera Center, 6692 NY-52, Lake Huntington, NY. Visit their website, https://delawarevalleyopera.com/index.php for more information and to purchase tickets.
