We are almost halfway through December and boy are things packed with holiday activities, baking, shopping, games, and horse shows. This month seems to be a full whirlwind in our home, and I am sure it looks familiar in your homes as well.

Support our local shops and restaurants this holiday season. A gift certificate to a local business makes a great holiday gift!

Be sure to check the winter sports calendar on the Sullivan West website for up-to-date game information for all the sporting events this winter. Come and support our local youth.

I love that our communities offer so many different events to celebrate the holidays. Here are a few different events taking place locally:

Don’t forget the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church at our Christmas Carol Sing- All are Welcome!!! Join the members of the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church, and our community members to attend our first Christmas Hymn Sing on Friday, December 15th at 5:30pm. We encourage everyone to call Vicky Krauss at 845-932-8923 so we know how many people will be attending and how much soup, hotdogs, and cookies will be needed. We will be singing classic Christmas songs and Christmas hymns. Free and Fun for all! Merry Christmas!

The Sullivan West Middle School Winter Concert will take place on December 12th from 7-9 pm in the MS/HS Auditorium and the High School Winter Concert will take place on December 13th from 7-9 pm in the MS/HS Auditorium and the Elementary Winter Concert will take place on December 19th from 7-9 pm in the MS/HS Auditorium. Come out and see all our local talented youth.

Peace, Love and Lights is back at Bethel Woods and they are operating daily from December 14 – December 31st. The fun doesn’t end when your drive is over! Dine by the fire with comfort food, a DIY s’mores kit, holiday drinks, and more! Check out the mega trees and take plenty of pictures. Located on the Bethel Woods Upper Campus; open at 5 PM beginning November 30. The holiday hub is not open on Mondays. Please check the Bethel Woods website for full details.

If you have a local business that would like to be spotlighted in an upcoming column, please get in touch! Please email jenn@jennpowelldesigns.com with any news, events, and happenings.
