To the editor:
I am outraged at the sudden closing of the Westbrookville Post Office. No notice or reason was given for the closure.
I now have to travel 12 miles (R/T) to the Otisville Post Office to receive the daily mail. Yes, 12 miles. Where else in America do people have to travel that far to obtain their mail? Friends laugh at me when I tell them how far I need to go!!!
The overworked postal employees told me they may not be able to process Westbrookville mail in a timely manner.
Paraphrasing former President Ronald Reagan - I’m from the Government and am here to help you (right!!!!!!).
