Robert F. Froehlich of Monticello and a lifelong Sullivan County resident passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility. He was 80.

He was the son of the late George Froehlich and Ida Schreier, born on September 10, 1942, in Livingston Manor, NY.

He was a truck driver for many years for Appliance Furniture, Sullivan County Wholesalers, Bogner-Seitel, Miller Automatic and Ikes. He married the love of his life Margaret Mary Brundage on February 28, 1964, in Jeffersonville, NY. He attended St. Aloysius Elementary School followed by Livingston Manor High School. He was a member of the IBT Local 445 Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America. In his free time, he was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing. He was an auto enthusiast that loved to spend time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Mary Froehlich, his children Robert Francis Froehlich, Jr. and his significant other Tina Depace of Ferndale, Darren Michael Froehlich and his husband of 17 years Robert “Rob” Bertholf his beloved son-in-law of Cochecton, his grandson Brandon Robert Froehlich, his special niece and nephews Susan Bell, Robin Kleingardner, Linda Nietzel and Billy John “Bill Bill” Kleingardner.

He was predeceased by his brothers George, Arnold, Fred, Leo, and Charlie, his sisters Patricia Marie Froehlich and Veronica Kleingardner.  

A special thanks to Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility for all their professionalism and dedicated work towards Robert and his family, especially these three angels Shannon Barry, Mary Venturini and Kristen Odier.

A private memorial ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s name can be made to the dedicated members of Monticello Fire Department, 23 Richardson Ave, Monticello, NY 12701.
