SULLIVAN COUNTY — Despite the ice and snow over the weekend, spring sports are scheduled to start up this week with baseball, softball, golf and track and field all raring to go.
Many of the softball and baseball teams throughout Sullivan County are participating in scrimmages and non-league games for the early part of the year, and as long as the weather holds up, will be able to get some good work in before the division games come around.
Track and Field teams in the county still have a few more weeks to tune up before their first meets, which is the same with golf as those seasons don’t have events scheduled until the second week of April.
The spring season also marks the finale of the 2023-24 school year, in which seniors will be playing their final games before graduation.
