LIBERTY — Sullivan 180 is pleased to announce the 2024 Beautification Program grant recipients. The Sullivan 180 Beautification Program offers grants up to $2,500 for the care of public spaces, creation and maintenance of gardens, landscaping and other beautification activities.

Several projects will also have a paid seasonal intern to support their work. Additionally, the program requires youth involvement in the care of public spaces.

“We hope that involving youth in this initiative can cultivate a new generation of active, engaged citizens who are committed to creating positive change in their neighborhoods and beyond,” said Carmela Hugel, Beautification Program Manager.

The 2024 Beautification Grant recipients and projects are:

• Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps: Ambulance Park Updates

• Cornell Cooperative Extension – Sullivan County: John’s Edible Teaching Garden

• Livingston Manor Renaissance: The Spirit Continues

• Our Lady of the Lake: Our

Lady’s Beautification

• Town of Lumberland Parks & Recreation: Lumberland Pride

• Town of Mamakating: Patricia Moore Memorial Picnic Grove

• White Sulphur Springs Sullivan First: There’s No Place Like Home!
