WEST POINT — On November 5, the 2023 Exceptional All Star Senior Games for both girls and boys soccer were held at James I. O’Neill High School in West Point. For the girls game, the West team defeated the East team, 4-1. The Sullivan West Lady Bulldogs represented the West team, with Abby Parucki recording two goals and Liz Reeves recording an assist. Nicole Reeves also represented the West team as they cruised to victory. 

For the boys’ game, the Sullivan West Bulldogs represented the East team which was defeated by the West team, 2-1. Three Bulldogs’ players in Bordy Herbert, Nick Perez and Austin Nystrom represented for the East. Neither of them recorded any goals or assists during the contest. 

Section IX All-Stars

The Section IX Soccer Coaches Association also recently announced the 2023 Boys and Girls Coaches All-Star selections. Seven girls from Sullivan County were selected to All Star Teams, as well as three boys.

For Class A girls, senior midfielder Noellia Cruz Cruz of Liberty was selected, while senior midfielder Violla Shami of Sullivan West was selected for Class B. 

Then for Class C & D, senior forward Rayanna Quintana of Eldred and junior forward Rebecca Gachinsky of Livingston Manor were selected alongside three Tri-Valley girls. 

The three Tri-Valley girls who were selected were senior forwards Kaytlyn Ingrassia and Kendall McGregor, as well as senior goalkeeper Emily Rusin. 

McGregor was the top vote getter for Class C & D, earning her a spot on the All Section Team. 

For the boys, senior defenseman Carlos Campos of Liberty was selected for Class A, junior defenseman Frank Trochez of Fallsburg was selected for Class B and sophomore forward Logan Weyant of Tri-Valley was selected for Class C & D.
