LIVINGSTON MANOR — The Livingston Manor Wildcats hosted the Seward Spartans on Monday night. Despite trailing at the start of the fourth quarter, the Wildcats buckled down and held on for a 53-49 non-league win.

Aiden Johnston led all scorers with 24 points, netting six 3s in the contest. Josh Hendrickson added 11 and Ben Johnston netted 10 in the win.

The Wildcats will host the Fred Ahart Games starting tonight, with Liberty, Tri-Valley and Sullivan West making their way to Livingston Manor tonight and tomorrow for the games.

Girls Basketball

Sullivan West and Monticello squared off on Wednesday evening, with the Lady Bulldogs hosting the Lady Panthers. A strong first quarter by Sullivan West gave the team a 14-5 lead, but Monticello closed the gap by halftime as the teams entered the break 17-12.

Ella Herbert had a strong second half, leading Sullivan West with 10 second half points as the Lady Bulldogs held on for a 39-20 victory.

Livingston Manor was on the road on Monday night as the Lady Wildcats visited Rondout Valley. The girls had a tough matchup and had a hard time getting their offense going as they lost 56-8 to the non-league opponent.
