To the editor:

Every President has his faults and makes mistakes. Afghanistan could have been done better but at least we’re done with 20 years of occuptaion. Did former President Trump get us out of there?

How do you know what made Putin go after Ukraine? And what reason is there to ever take over another country? Maybe it was because he thought Trump would be re-elected and would just let them march right in there for Trump’s revenge on the Ukraine?

How did Trump handle Covid? By telling people to drink Clorox? 

How much respect did we lose in the world with Trump as President? He was a laughing stock. 

The Iran problem started again when Trump backed out of the Iran Nuclear Pact - way before what you claim.

It is not a President who makes the laws. Congress, due to Republicans, passed only 29 bills last year. An immigration Bill changing border issues was finally being worked on by some normal bi-partisans. Trump nixed it. Who really cares about what it is doing to our country? 

You want non-political people elected and you name Ramaswami, Kari Lake and Trump? Do you realize what you are saying? 

At least with Biden I don’t have to worry about losing our country to Fascists who want to become controllers and end democracy. At least he is a President who doesn’t berate and threaten the military, call on people to attack each other, allow our precious Capitol building to be attacked - our Vice President and Speaker to be hunted down like rabid dogs, threaten to be a Dictator and be surrounded by criminals who are free only because he pardoned them.

And those people will be leading our country if Trump gets back in. No thank you. I’ll stick to the old man for now. Trump is only a few years younger and is  certainly, already showing signs of being demented. Give Biden four more years and let’s start grooming young, competent men and women to lead us next. I pray there are enough people left who will vote with the old morals and values that can save us.
