Donald Keeler

Donald was born in Callicoon Hospital to Orville Keeler and Ada Moshier Keeler. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers Orville Edward Keeler, Leslie Keeler and George Keeler, and by two sisters Ruth Quinlass and Betty Ackerly. Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, Veronica Mungeer Keeler. Together they had three children, Donald Richard Keeler (Robin) , Alexander Keeler (Patty), and Veronica Van Vleet (Jon). 

Don was a quiet man who loved his family, God, and his country. He leaves behind seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. Later in life he took great pride in the fact that his grandson Jonathan is  serving  with the US Army in Korea.

Don was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jeffersonville. He was a 69 year member of the Youngsville Fire Department. He passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024 with his daughter Veronica and granddaughter Rebeka by his side. 

Friends may call on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY. Firematic services will be at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be Saturday,  March 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Virginia Bossley will officiate. Memorial contributions in Don’s memory may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Jeffersonville or the Youngsville Fire Department.
