Guy Christopher Baker was born in New York City on July 22, 1949, the son of Catheryn Smith Baker and Edward Baker. He passed away suddenly in Winter Haven, Florida on August 11, 2023 after a short illness. 

Guy was an avid sports fan and a friend of Bill for many years.  He was a salesman for the Catskill Shopper in Liberty, New York and past Chairman of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce. In his younger years he was a bartender extraordinaire at the Triangle in Liberty, NY and at the County Seat in Monticello, NY. In his spare time he enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing sports and could be seen on the sidelines cheering them on.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Smith, a sister, Audrey Baker, stepson Brendan Pavese (Heidi) and his grandchildren Taylor Pavese, Brendan Pavese, Jr, Colin Pavese, Kyle Foss, Connor Foss, Dustin Foss, Deara Foss and many nieces and nephews.  He is also missed by his Shih Tzu Max.

Guy was predeceased by his parents, Cathryn and Edward Baker, sister, Sheila Baker Frankel, and stepsons, Darren and Brian Foss.

Funeral arrangements were private, A Celebration of Life will be held on October 5, 2023 5:00 PM at Albella Restaurant, 50 Jefferson Street, Monticello, NY for his family and friends.
