Winter sports are in full effect at Sullivan West. Check the school website for up-to-date game information for all the sporting events this winter. Come and support our local youth.

I love that our communities offer so many different events to celebrate the holidays. Here are a few different events taking place locally:

Please join the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church at our Christmas Carol Sing- All are Welcome!!! Join the members of the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church, and our community members to attend our first Christmas Hymn Sing on Friday, December 15th at 5:30pm. We encourage everyone to call Vicky Krauss at 845-932-8923 so we know how many people will be attending and how much soup, hotdogs, and cookies will be needed. We will be singing classic Christmas songs and Christmas hymns. Free and Fun for all! Merry Christmas!

A Cookie Walk is being held on Saturday, December 9th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Narrowsburg from 10AM to 1PM. The cost is $10/ pound and there will be a large selection of cookies to choose from. Pick your own and get a head start on your holidays without all the fuss of baking!!

Dickens on the Delaware will take place on Saturday, December 9th (12 – 6 pm). Callicoon will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland with holiday trees, festive wreaths and streets filled with holiday lights!

Shops, galleries and restaurants will highlight their Holiday goods and dazzle town visitors with their Holiday Spirit. Shopkeepers will be dressed in Victorian costumes!!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 3rd from 5 AM – 2 PM for the 2nd Annual Lake Superior Ice Fishing Tournament. They are also looking for sponsors for this event as well. Call 845-978-6161 if you are interested or have any questions about this event.

If you have a local business that would like to be spotlighted in an upcoming column, please get in touch! Please email jenn@jennpowelldesigns.com with any news, events and happenings.
