Loretta May Pettinger, a longtime area resident, died Friday, April 21, 2023 at Garnet Health Hospital in Middletown, NY.  She was 90. 

The daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Keindl Consavage, she was born November 19, 1932 in Yonkers, NY.

She worked as a waitress at Al & Kay’s in the 70’s then took a job at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home as a physical therapy aide, leaving there to continue working for Robert Konvalin in his private physical therapy practice.

Loretta loved music and singing; she was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s.  Loretta was a congregant of Faith Baptist Church of Montgomery, NY.

Survivors include her children, Diane Long and her husband Mark of Middletown, NY, Jeanne Sudyk and her husband Steve of Painesville, OH and Janet Will and her husband David of Callicoon Center, NY; her grandchildren, Nelson Myers III, Danielle Myers, Diane Pettinger, Ronald Gaither, Tashina Gilliam (Danny), Crystal Gilliam, Stone Sudyk, Donnavan Zane (Crystal), Stacey Hecht, Tyler Groh (Kayla), and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two daughters, Kathleen Myers and Geraldine Pettinger and four grandchildren, Charles Zane, William Jesse Myers, Stephanie Hecht and Brittany Zane.

Graveside services and burial will be Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 1 PM in the Bon Air Cemetery, Roscoe, NY. The Rev. Jeffery Vinci will officiate.
