Myrna Lieberman, 82, of Manhattan, NY passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023.

The most giving, genuine daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin, left us all.

Myrna was born on November 4, 1940, to Fred and Jeanette Weinberger of the Bronx. She and her late husband, David Lieberman, resided in Pelham Parkway of the Bronx for 45 years and together raised their four children.

Myrna is survived by her son, Paul Lieberman, and his wife Jodi (Jill and Harrison Remler, Joshua and Jeremy Lieberman); her daughter Lori Zollo and her husband Lou ( Sam, Isabelle and Rebecca Zollo); her son Eddy Lieberman and his wife Barbara (Jake, Max and Ben Lieberman); and her son Michael Lieberman (Zachary and Noah Lieberman). She will be forever remembered by her eleven grandchildren and her beloved sister Linda Navarro.

Myrna was employed as an executive assistant at Gibson Graphics in New York City. After retirement, Myrna enjoyed reading to the elderly who needed company. She volunteered in hospitals to rock and soothe young infants.

She also enjoyed playing mahjong, babysitting, needlepointing, reading, shopping, and taking many excursions with her children and grandchildren.

Her legacy will carry on forever; reminding us to treat everyone genuinely. Her greatest gift was when her entire family got together; they all were the light of her life. Myrna touched many lives so gently. She will be truly missed and will never, ever be forgotten. She has imprinted us all.

A graveside service took place on Sunday, September 10, 2023, for the immediate family at the Parksville Synagogue Cemetery, Lilly Pond Road, Parksville, NY with Rabbi Hillel Grossman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Myrna Lieberman to: Alzheimer’s Association P.O. Box 96011, Washington D.C. 20090-6011.

Arrangements are honorably entrusted to the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home - 845-794-7474 or www.josephngarlickfuneralhome.com.
