ELDRED – The Eldred Yellowjackets step into regionals action this week. After their recent Section IX Championship win over the Sullivan West Bulldogs, the Yellowjackets (9-2, 4-1) are riding high on victory.

This week, they will take on the Unatego/Franklin Spartans (8-1, 4-0). Both teams received a bye due to seeding, with each team sitting in the number one spot in their respective sections.

The Spartans are coming off a 40-20 win over Moravia. The winner of this game will go on to play the winner of Taconic Hills vs Morrisville-Eaton. The Yellowjackets will have home-field advantage this week. Kick-off is set for Saturday at noon at Eldred High School. Look for the full write-up and game recap in Tuesday’s edition of the Democrat.
