Robert F. Froehlich, Jr. “Butch” a Journeyman iron worker for Local Union # 417, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Garnet Medical Center in Middletown. He was 59 years old.

The son of the late Robert F. Froehlich, Sr. and Margaret M. Brundage Froehlich, he was born December 5, 1964 in Liberty, NY.

Butch began his trade at Monticello Glass Company then at Neversink Glass Corp. specializing as a Glazier. He installed the replacement windows at Garnet Health Catskill. He was Foreman on projects at Vassar Hospital and at Resort World Casino being one of his biggest projects. He was known for his sense of humor, strong work ethic and being a “Jack of all trades”. He was an off road jeep enthusiast, where he enjoyed creating and maintaining trails and having been with different groups and organizations such as Northeast Off Road Adventures. Butch was an avid animal lover.

He is survived by his Fiancée and love of his life: Tina DePace of Monticello; his Mother Margaret Froehlich (Monticello); a brother: Darren M. Froehlich and his husband Robert Bertholf (Cochecton); his son Brandon Froehlich of Connecticut along with many beloved family and friends, too numerous to count.

He is predeceased by his father Robert F. Froehlich Sr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.
