SULLIVAN COUNTY –– Legislator Nicholas Salomone has replaced Legislator Nadia Rajsz on the Sunset Lake LDC board.

That particular spot on the board is for the legislator that chairs the Health and Family Services Committee, which has been Salomone, as of this month.

At the Sunset Lake LDC meeting on Thursday, Salomone was nominated to be their treasurer, while Albee Bockman was nominated as secretary.

Salomone, before retiring, worked as an account manager for computer operations at NYNEX Corporation, before it became Verizon. He also spent 22 years on the Mamakating Town Board, worked as an MTA police administrator and part-time police officer.

“It’s exciting and new to me,” said Salomone of joining the LDC Board, praising the knowledge of its members. “Though I’m not from the medical field, I do have administrative capabilities.”
