Scott William Mahnken of Grahamsville, NY passed away after a long illness on February 10, 2024. He was 62.

Scott was born in Portsmouth, VA to William Mahnken and the late Barbara (Krum) Mahnken on April 10, 1961.

On June 11, 1988 he married Robin Nietzel Mahnken at the Dutch Reformed Church in Grahamsville. Scott graduated from Morgan High School in Clinton, CT after moving to Grahamsville where he was trained as a butcher by his grandfather, Raymond Krum and worked in the Krum Family Store until his parents sold the store after which he worked for the Fallsburg Highway Department until he retired after thirty years of service. Scott was a long-time member of the Grahamsville Fire Department and assisted the Grahamsville Ambulance Squad when needed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Robin Mahnken; father William Mahnken; siblings Stacey Engels and her husband Chris and Todd Mahnken and his wife Nicole; nieces Holly, Heather and Hanna; sister-in-law Tina Kohlwey and her significant other David Donovan; several aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as many dear friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Barbara Mahnken and grandparents Raymond and Lena Krum.

Scott’s family would like to thank Dr. Rajan Subbiah and the staff at Garnet Healthcare Medical Center - Catskill for their care and compassion.
