Each year teams raising money for the 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon compete for the Community Service Award, sponsored by Jeff Bank.

For every $500 a team raises, they are entered into a drawing to win the $1,000 prize.

This year’s winners were Team Maria, formed in honor of the late Maria Frangipane. The team is led by her husband Al and is comprised of close family and friends. Team Maria raised over $3,000 for this year’s Heart-A-Thon.

On Friday, at Jeff Bank’s Jeffersonville branch, members of Team Maria were presented with the $1,000 prize, which will be used to make donations to causes near and dear to Maria’s heart.
