The beautiful Monarch butterfly is now officially an endangered species in North America. The main reason is the lack of milkweed, their caterpillar’s host plant and exclusive food source. Help them by planting milkweed, giving the monarchs and native pollinators a better chance.

Spring may finally be here! A reminder, it is completely normal to see raccoons out during the day. They are not nocturnal ( I always thought they were) and actively forage for food after losing calories during hibernation. “Moms” also need extra calories for producing milk for their newborns or on-the-way cubs. So do not assume a raccoon out during the day is sick.

I hope you and your family have a Happy Easter!
